Working with film is a particular delight since the visuals dictate the parameters in which to work, this can catalyse creativity since the music doesn’t have to be tied to form, it can breathe its own life.

Having visited Krakow on many occasions I was inspired to compose this piece. The poignant scene of furniture and belongings left behind after the ultimate liquidation of the Jews in the Krakow Ghetto, is symbolised by the ‘Empty Chairs’ memorial at Plac Bohaterow Geta. The Ghetto Heroes Plaza.
