I rarely, if ever, leave reviews. Sid is the exception to the rule. I have yet to come across any individual who exhibits those natural qualities of a teacher that Sid does. His passion for music, teaching and the guitar are infectious. His ability is evident for all to witness. Over the years he has never been anything other that patient in my ability to learn to play. He has never in any of our lessons together demonstrated anything other than patience, consideration and humour all of which make me look forward to our time together. I have no hesitation in recommending Sid to all age groups as a guitar instructor or to anyone who just wishes to learn to appreciate music more. A gifted composer in his own right, he has certainly enriched my love of both music and the guitar.

I started lessons with Sid after around three months of playing guitar (following a good friend’s recommendation) after reaching a point where I felt my progress had stagnated. The lessons quickly brought me up to speed with the basic principles of music theory and honed in on key areas of playing that I wanted to work on. These lessons have ultimately taken me to a point where I am confident in my playing ability and have now been performing live for over two years.

Sid is inspirational, patient and knows how to teach at the speed and learning style of the pupil. One of my children is neurodiverse and struggles with retention. Given the difficulty of learning the guitar it does involve incredible amounts of patience. Sid has a lot of this. He also uses his humour and knows how to adapt this to the age of the child. He oozes enthusiasm of music which passes onto his pupils. He teaches music in a tailored way to the level of the child and makes it exciting but achievable. However he reinforces the need to understand and develop the theory. I would highly recommend him.
